Where: Holmes Beach Community field, 5801 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach
Organized by the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce, this festival benefits the chamber’s scholarship fund. Enjoy a day of live music, food trucks, arts and crafts, classic cars on display, beer and wine, and more.

What: Paint a Gift for Mom Open Studio
When: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Painting with a Twist, 5917 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton
This open studio session offers discounted $25 paintings for little ones creating their own gift for mom.
What: Spring Treasure Hunt
When: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Scavengers Marketplace, 2100 US-301, Palmetto
This parking lot market outside Scavengers Marketplace features a lineup of 20 vendors, which rotates monthly. The May event will feature various spring and summer décor and gifts.
What: Cheer & Dance Small Gym Nationals
When: Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Bradenton Area Convention Center, 1 Haben Blvd., Palmetto
This event is one of the nation’s premier cheerleading and dance competitions focused on small gym programs. Tickets are $25 per person.
What: City Nature Challenge: iNaturalist BioBlitz
When: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Where: Johnson Preserve at Braden River, 6804 Pine Meadow Way, Bradenton
Join Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources and Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast for a morning of nature exploration and documentation at Johnson Preserve on the Braden River. The City Nature Challenge (CNC) is an international effort to get people outside to document their local biodiversity. At this event, attendees will use the iNaturalist app species found at the nature preserve.
