Burglar Used Rock To Break Into Bradenton Businesses: Sheriff

Tips from the public led to the arrest of Craig Pierce, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said. He's charged with two counts of burglary.

BRADENTON, FL — A suspect faces charges related to the recent burglaries of two Bradenton businesses, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office shared on social media.

Craig Pierce, 46, has been charged with two counts of burglary to a structure, according to Manatee County Jail records. He’s currently in custody with a $1,500 bond set for each count.

Pierce used a rock to break the glass doors of the two businesses when they were closed and stole merchandise from them, MCSO said.

The sheriff’s office posted about the break-ins Thursday, sharing surveillance footage images of the suspect and asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

The agency received several tips about the suspect and the break-in, which led to Pierce’s arrest, the sheriff’s office said.
