The Sarasota Art & Handmade Home Show, formerly the American Fine Craft Show Sarasota, is accepting artist applications through July 10 for the 2018 show, November 30-December 2 at Robarts Arena in Sarasota. Now in its ninth year, the show appeals to thousands of art enthusiasts, collectors, interior decorators and homeowners. Space is available for hand-crafted work in ceramics, decorative fiber, wearable art, art glass, furniture, leather, metal, wood, painting, sculpture, photography, mixed-media, digital art and graphics. Interested artists should visit sarasotaartandhandmadehomeshow.com to learn more about exhibit requirements and booth fees.
Richard Rothbard, president of American Art Marketing, the company that manages this and several other fine craft shows around the country, says the artists are hand-selected by a jury that looks for technical skill, quality of workmanship, and originality of design. According to Rothbard, the Sarasota-Manatee region is home to a wealth of first-rate artists and artisans.

“We’re very impressed with the depth and scope of the area arts community,” says Rothbard. “More regional artists are participating—and we invite others to contact us about booth opportunities.”
Rothbard adds that previous shows have attracted nearly 5,000 people each year. "This is an admission show, which draws a discriminating and educated audience," says Rothbard. "These are serious collectors and arts enthusiasts who have a passion for exceptional art and design. They understand that this is one of the nation's most sophisticated fine art and crafts shows and, each year, they prove to be very willing buyers."
