County Closes Braden River Shelter
Because no one arrived at the shelter today, the county closed it leaving Manatee High and Nolan Middle Schools as the only open shelters.
Because no Manatee County residents have traveled to Braden River High School, which was deemed a hurricane shelter for Tropical Storm Isaac, the county closed the shelter this evening.
will remain open as a pet-friendly shelter and will remain open as a special needs shelter.
