Daylight Saving Time Begins: Lose An Hour Of Sleep Sunday
It's time to turn those clocks in Bradenton forward one hour. Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m., March 10, 2013.

You know the Daylight Saving Time routine, you just need to remember when to do it.
It's that time again—2 a.m., Sunday, March 10 marks the beginning of Daylight Saving Time, which means you're losing an hour of sleep. Move that clock forward one hour before you head to bed or go out for a night on the town.
More than just flipping the hour hand forward, Daylight Saving Time is also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors, according to the Bradenton Fire Department.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission estimates that two-thirds of fire fatalities in homes are inside homes where there wasn't a smoke alarm, or one that wasn't working due to a dead battery.
If you live within Bradenton city limits, the fire department will install and provide a smoke detector free of charge if you're unable to afford or install one yourself.
