Deputy Stops Burglary At Airport Mini Storage

Deputy on patrol noticed men acting suspicious at a Braden Avenue mini storage Friday morning.

Two men are facing burglary charges after an alert Manatee County Sheriff's deputy on patrol noticed the suspects acting suspicious by a Braden Avenue mini storage.

The sheriff's office arrested and charged Donald Zes, 40, of 3948 Prado Drive, Sarasota, and Aaron Moore, 43, of 2901 18th St. W at 4:30 a.m., Friday at the Airport Mini Storage, 455 Braden Ave., after seeing the two men and noticing that four storage units were burglarized, according to the sheriff's office.

Property from one of the units were in a car the suspects were using, and one suspect had burglary tools in his possession during the arrest, according to the sheriff's office.

Zes has been arrested 18 times before in Manatee County, according to the sheriff's office booking records. At least three of those arrests included burglary charges.

Moore has had 10 prior arrests in Manatee County in the last eight years, including drug charges and battery, according to the sheriff's office.
