Elections 2020: Bradenton Elects Gene Brown In Mayoral Race
Pamela Mitchell Coachman also won Bradenton City Council's Ward 5 seat, based on unofficial results.
BRADENTON, FL — Gene Brown was elected mayor of Bradenton City Council Tuesday night, based on unofficial results. The mayor-elect is currently serving his third term on city council.
He defeated two opponents, Harold Byrd, who serves on council, and Dimitrie Denis, to win the race. As of Wednesday afternoon, Brown received 13,081 votes, while Byrd and Denis received 8,163 and 2,729, respectively.
Pamela Mitchell Coachman also won the council’s District 5 seat. She beat Keenan Wooten in the race with 12,328 votes. He received 10,568.
