BRADENTON, FL — The Sunshine State tops the list of the best states for singles based on a new study that looked at the share of single adults, movie costs, nightlife options and other key indicators of dating friendliness.

"To help unattached Americans improve their chances of finding love, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 29 key indicators of dating friendliness," the editors penned.

It ranked 8th for the percentage of single adults.
"Besides your looks, personality, interests and employment status, your location can influence your odds of finding a romantic partner," the study found. "Everyone has different priorities when searching for love, but certain places simply make dating easier than others."
