Free Pet Vaccination Clinic Organized By Animal Services

Manatee County Animal Services will host a free pet vaccination, microchip and licensing clinic Sunday for county pet owners.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — To ensure pet owners are prepared for the upcoming hurricane season, which starts in June, Manatee County Animal Services department is hosting a free pet vaccination, microchip and licensing clinic Sunday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at G.T. Bray Park’s parking lot at 2811 51st Street West in Bradenton.

Free services offered include rabies and distemper vaccines, a microchip with pet registration, and a Manatee County annual pet license, according to a news release from the county.

This event is in partnership with Manatee County Commissioner Kevin Van Ostenbridge.

“Manatee County Animal Services knows how difficult this past year has been for many. We are here to help the community keep their pets safe, healthy and prepared for hurricane season," Manatee County Animal Services Chief Sarah Brown said. "We are excited to partner with Commissioner Van Ostenbridge for the upcoming pet clinic offering free services to the public.”

MCAS has also partnered with Lost Pet Services, Inc., a local nonprofit dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their families, to provide free microchips with on-site registration. Manatee Community Foundation provided funding to support this clinic, and future events this summer, so they could be free to the public, the county said.

Space is limited and appointments are required. Pet owners can register in advance online here.

All dogs attending the event must be non-aggressive and leashed. Meanwhile, cats must be in a secure carrier. All pet owners must show their driver’s license or state-issued ID.
