What's Closed, Open for the Long Holiday Weekend

Here is a list of openings and closings for government-run services:

1. All city of Bradenton offices will close Friday-Monday for the Christmas holidays. City offices will reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday.
2. Trash collection will be picked up as usual, with the exception of yard waste usually collected on a Monday.  Yard waste will instead be collected on Saturday.
3. Manatee County offices and libraries will close Friday-Monday.
4. The G.T. Bray Recreation Center will close at noon Saturday and reopen on Tuesday. The skate park at G.T. Bray will remain open every day throughout the holidays. The Blackstone Skate Park is closed for repairs.
5. The Manatee County and Buffalo Creek golf courses will be closed on Christmas Day but otherwise stay open through the holiday season.
6. Fixed-route and Handy Bus service will be suspended at 3 p.m. Saturday and resume Monday  at 6 a.m. The Island Trolley will run on Christmas Day. Trolley service will end at 7 p.m., rather than the normal 11 p.m., on Saturday and  resume at its normal time on Dec. 25.
