Debris should be separated accordingly:

  • Yard waste (trees, limbs, brush, etc.) does not need to be bundled and should be placed at the curb. Leaves should be in a container or bagged for collection.
  • White goods (appliances like refrigerators and freezers) should be emptied before placed at the curb. Spoiled contents should be placed the regular garbage
  • Construction and debris materials (metal awnings, roofing, drywall, carpet, lumber, etc.) should be placed in a separate pile.
  • Avoid placing piles near mailboxes, trees, power lines, etc. as large claw trucks will be collecting the debris and must have safe access to the material.

Other than separating into piles, no other special preparations for the debris are required.
