Hurricane Irma: Bradenton To Suspend Some Building Permits
The Bradenton Planning & Community Development director said the suspension was for Hurricane Irma-related cleanup.

BRADENTON, FL – Home and business owners in the City of Bradenton have been given a reprieve from the Planning & Development Department to help with cleanup efforts after Hurricane Irma passed through last weekend.
Catherine Hartley, the director of the city’s Planning & Community Development Department, announced she will not require permits for tree removal, fence repair or replacement or sign repair and replacement until further notice.
The exception is for storm-related damage only. Hartley also said clear-cutting will not be permitted without a permit and tree mitigation.

“First, let me say I hope you and your loved ones are safe,” Hartley said. “We sincerely appreciate your patience.”
