Join SCF Music Online for Two Livestreamed Concerts in October

The Music Department at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host two livestreamed concerts in October.

The Music Department at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host two livestreamed concerts in October, featuring performances by the SCF Music program and the SCF Bradenton Symphony Orchestra. Both concerts will be available for viewing free of charge via Facebook Live at Facebook.com/SCFMusicProgram. Donations to support the SCF Music program will be accepted at SCF-Foundation.org/Donate2Music or by texting SCFmusic to 41444.

The first concert of the season, “Stronger Together,” begins at 7:30 p.m., Thursday., Oct.8. This special program celebrates the unique power of people in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and will feature the SCF Symphonic Band, Big Band, Jazz Combo, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir and Guitar Ensemble.

“Symphonie Espagnole,” the season’s second performance, begins at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 15. In this program, the SCF Bradenton Symphony Orchestra will celebrate Spanish Heritage Month with a lineup of Latin/Spanish-inspired music from Carmen to Malagueña, including a performance of Lalo’s “Symphonie Espagnole” by SCF Violin Instructor Felicia Brunelle.
