Lakewood Ranch Pop-Up Vaccine Clinic Scheduled
3,000 Lakewood Ranch residents will receive the coronavirus vaccine Wednesday through Friday at the Premier Sports Campus.
LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL — A three-day pop-up coronavirus vaccine clinic for Lakewood Ranch residents is scheduled at the Premier Sports Campus at 5895 Post Blvd. Wednesday through Friday, according to Manatee County’s website.
The event is hosted by the Florida Division of Emergency Management.
The vaccine clinic targets residents living in zip codes 34202 and 34211, the county said. The Manatee County 311 Call Center notified residents from those zip codes who are registered through the county’s vaccine standby pool Monday and Tuesday that they were selected for the clinic.

Each day, 1,000 residents from those areas will receive the vaccine, totaling 3,000 first doses administered during the clinic.
"This unique opportunity was made possible by Governor DeSantis calling (‎Schroeder-Manatee Ranch President) Rex Jensen wanting to do a vaccination site near Lakewood Ranch," said County Commission Chair Vanessa Baugh. "The governor has been trying to find large areas of neighborhoods to target."

The 311 Call Center also booked 5,100 appointments for Thursday and Friday at Tom Bennett Park.
Public Safety Director Jacob Saur also said that the county has been told by state officials that severe winter storms in other parts of the country could delay vaccine shipments to Florida. If doses are delayed arriving locally, those residents who had appointments will be notified and then rescheduled when new shipments arrive, the county said.
