LRHS physical education teacher and girls weightlifting coach Mic Koczersut coached Reiter as a Mustang.
“He was a very hard-working kid, who was especially gifted athletically,” said Koczersut.
Reiter was originally drafted into the National Football League by the Washington Redskins in the seventh round. He then worked his way through the league and found a home in Kansas City.
Reiter’s work ethic is continuing to shine, even at the highest level. In a video on the Chiefs website, Austin said, “There are things I can always work on...what keeps a pro at this level is not being comfortable.”
The Chiefs will tackle the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. This game will be played at 6:30 p.m., Feb. 2 in Miami and broadcast on Fox.
