Looking For Your One-And-Only Pet? MCAS Waives Adoption Fees
Manatee County Animal Services waives adoption fees Feb. 13-18 in the spirit of Valentine's Day.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL – Looking for your one-and-only furry friend this Valentine’s Day? In the spirit of the holiday, Manatee County Animal Services has waived adoption fees Feb. 13-28.
Adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip and rabies certificate, a value of over $300 in savings, MCAS said in a news release. Manatee County residents are required to license their new pet for an additional $20.
MCAS is also highlighting dogs who are part of its Single & Loving It Pack. These dogs are best suited for single-pet households.

Tex
This 1-year-old, tricolor hound mix has a bright personality. He is smart, silly, inquisitive, and active, MCAS said. He enjoys long walks and walks well on a leash.
“This big guy is an explorer at heart and he's ready for adventures with a family,” animal services said.

Bella
Bella is the queen of the ball, or at least the shelter, according to MCAS. This 7-year-old is robust in size, as well as personality. She loves to go for walks and play outside, and is housebroken, too.
“She is larger than life, and her love will easily fill your heart,” MCAS said.

Thelma
The MCAS calls this 4-year-old mixed-breed pup “a charmer.”
“She’s potty-trained, walks well on a leash, and likes to relax and nap by your side. She adores people and is very affectionate. Thelma is good with children, so she will make an excellent family dog,” animal services said.
