Man Reports Beating, Robbery 8 Days Later

The man said he was beaten and robbed at a Bradenton gas station March 15 but didn't come forward because he didn't have much information about the suspects.

A man told authorities he was beaten and robbed eight days ago at a Bradenton gas station but didn't come forward sooner because he didn't have a good description of the suspects, deputies said Thursday.

The 49-year-old victim said he was robbed of money and other personal items by "three unknown black males," sometime on May 15 at the BP gas station, 3101 15th St. E., according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report.

"He did not report the crime after it occurred due to his lack of suspect information," the report states.
