Nate's Honor Rescue To Host Ponies For Pups
Fundraising event features a live polo match, lunch and more to raise money for rescued pets.
Nate's Honor Animal Rescue will combine every child's favorite—ponies and pups—at a fundraising event on Saturday.
The fourth annual Ponies for Pups polo event returns Saturday, March 9 at the Sarasota Polo Club, 8201 Polo Club Lane, Lakewood Ranch.
The event is the largest fundraiser of the year benefitting the non-profit, no-kill shelter, specifically intended to offset costs related to the medical care, rehabilitation and well-being of more than 800 animals taken in annually. Â

Since 2008, the group has rescued more than 2,500 cats and dogs that were abandoned, abused or neglected in the Tampa Bay region. Â
The event features a live polo match and a luncheon provided by Polo Grill, and you can even find a rescued animal waiting to be adopted and taken home.

Tickets are $10 per person, with children under 12 admitted free, or for $45 you also receive a catered luncheon along with premier seating. Gates open at 11 a.m., and the match begins at 1 p.m. Tailgating is encouraged. Parking is free, or pay $40 for a reserved tailgating slip.
