Oneco Elementary Students Win Bikes for Good Attendance

Increasing attendance rates prompted school officials to reward the students.

Focusing on the idea that student attendance impacts student achievement, Oneco Elementary School is placing a priority on pushing attendance goals higher.

As part of those efforts, two students will receive bikes today for having perfect attendance.

The attendance rate at Oneco Elementary increased from 94 percent in 2011 to 95 percent in 2012. This year, the school has set a goal of reaching 96 percent or higher in attendance.
