SCF Natural Sciences Professor Publishes Manual in National Portf
Dr. Beth Ann Kersten, a professor of natural sciences at SCF recently published "The Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory Manual"

Dr. Beth Ann Kersten, a professor of natural sciences at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) recently published “The Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory Manual,” in the bluedoor Top Hat national publishing portfolio. Kersten teaches Anatomy and Physiology I and II at SCF Venice.
Kersten has had a long-standing partnership with bluedoor Top Hat. Kersten and the publication believe the engaging and economical approach to anatomy and physiology laboratory procedures will impact the natural sciences space. The concepts outlined in Kersten’s publication mirror her commitment to the development of the lab space and finding new and exciting laboratory activities for students.
“Writing this lab manual has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life,” said Kersten. “It is not every day that you are given the opportunity and privilege to write a book about a topic that you truly love and to share your passion for teaching it with the world.”

Kersten’s content has also been used to create an interactive, online version of the manual. This allows instructors the ability to use the online manual as-is, adapt it per course needs, assign activities, administer interactive assessments and utilize in-class polling tools.
