The Schimberg Group's Barron Schimberg Nominated for HGTV.com's Fresh Faces of Design Awards

Schimberg's project entry is "Island-inspired Beach Home," a Siesta Key residence.

Architect Barron Schimberg, founder of The Schimberg Group, is a nominee in HGTV.com’s Fresh Faces of Design Awards (http://www.hgtv.com/design/fresh-faces-of-design) in the Great First Impressions category (http://www.hgtv.com/design/fresh-faces-of-design/2015/great-first-impressions), which is one of twelve categories in the contest.

Schimberg is in competition with eleven other architects/designers from around the United States, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, New York, South Carolina and Washington.

Schimberg’s project entry is “Island-inspired Beach Home,” a Siesta Key residence. The Schimberg Group blended island design components like deep balconies, horizontal siding, rich wood soffits, decorative wood brackets and Bahama shutters with modern elements including oversized roof overhangs, angular lines and architectural columns reaching from ground to roof. The entry drive, topped with concrete mixed with shells, was deliberately offset to allow for a beautifully landscaped front yard. Three-foot-high tabby stone forms a base around the entire home, which is painted stark white with accents of pastel blues and greens.
