House hunters with a passion for the finer things in life may find a listing on the Florida real estate market to their liking.

With an estimated 60,000 square feet of living space, 11 bedrooms, 17 baths, a 30-car garage and its own bowling alley, night club and ice skating rink, La Palais Royal isn’t your ordinary home. Inspired by Paris’ famed Chateau de Versailles, the mansion was designed by Joseph Leone in 2008.

Construction on the sprawling 935 Hillsboro Mile home in Hillsboro Beach began in 2010 and is now 95 percent complete. The property was initially put on the market 14 months ago with an asking price of $139 million. With several new upgrades now under way, it was recently relisted at the current $159 million.

That price tag is believed to make it the most costly home in America.

Listed by ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, the property’s lofty price is justified by a number of features found within the home, on its property and currently being added during a new phase of construction, its agent says.

“The price increase is a reflection of their phase two in construction, which will consist of a secondary lot they will combine with the first,” a ONE Sotheby’s spokeswoman told Patch. Phase two involves the construction of two new guest homes on the 4.5-acre property. Each guest home will span 3,000 square feet and there will be a pool in between the two. In addition, an “underground entertainment space” is being added. This space will boast a go-cart track, bowling alley, night club and ice skating rink.

Work on the home is expected to be completed by early next year.

The property includes 465 feet of beachfront on the ocean and another 492 feet on the Intracoastal Waterway. Two docks with room for a 200-foot yacht are also included.

Other property features include:

  • One of the world’s first IMAX Home Theatres with 18 seats
  • More than $3 million in 22 karat gold leaf on balconies and bathroom fixtures
  • A 24-foot fountain
  • 2 Jacuzzis
  • A 13-foot gold leafed front gate
  • A 4,500-square-foot heated pool with infinity edge
  • A putting green
  • A “Royal Suite” with a private balcony and his and hers baths
  • 1,300-gallon custom aquarium wall with a 3D TV included
