Southeast High Running Back Arrested on Weapons Charges

A Southeast High senior was arrested on multiple weapons charges that date back to July, according to an article in the Sarasota Herald Tribune.

Frank Johnny Brice, 18, a Southeast High School football running back, was arrested at school Wednesday and charged with possession of a firearm by a Florida delinquent, possession of a weapon on school grounds, having a concealed firearm and resisting arrest, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

According to the article, a warrant was issued for Brice's arrest in July after undercover detectives searched his vehicle while he and a woman were parked at the 13th Avenue Dream Center in east Bradenton around 2 a.m. Brice allegedly fled on foot when the detectives found a loaded handgun under the front seat.

A warrant was issued for his arrest on July 10, court documents show. 

Brice was taken to Manatee County Jail where he is being held on a $102,000 bond.
