’Tis the Season -- to Sharpen Golf Skills and Lower Scores 

The Golf Academy at University Park County Club Announces skill specific clinics and schools in Nov/Dec

Tis’ the season for holiday cheer and getting golf ready for Florida’s prime season and University Park Country Club brings it all together with its holiday-inspired setting and series of golf clinics and schools in November and December.

Coaches include former European and LPGA tour players

Participants benefit from having two former European and LPGA tour players share their skill, knowledge and acumen. These include Assistant Golf Pro Clinton Whitelaw, a former South African Open Champion and European Tour Winner, who has also coached many of the world’s elite professional and amateur golfers, including Anders Hansen, Trevor Dodds, Carl Yuan and Aden Ze, to name a few. Joining Whitelaw is Sue Ertl, Head Teaching Professional at University Park Country Club and former LPGA tour player, who holds a career low score of 64, including 10 holes-in-one. Ertl currently plays on the LPGA Legends tour and has been inducted into the Women’s Collegiate Golf Hall of Fame as well as Michigan State University Hall of Fame.

2-Day Short Game School

December 5-6

Time: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Cost: $225/per person ($100 deposit required)

Get the tools and techniques needed to consistently take strokes off your game. Skill technique work includes greenside bunkers, lob shots, specialty shots, putting, chipping, pitching and more. Includes one complimentary lunch voucher to Park Grille & Café.

3-Day Total Golf School

November 28-30

December 19-21

Time: 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Cost: $349/per person, per clinic ($100 deposit required)

Experienced professionals guide participants through the fundamentals of full swing shots (irons, hybrids, wood, driver) and short game scoring shots. Students also receive individual video instruction and analysis plus one lunch voucher to Park Grille & Café.

Sunday Mimosa Clinic & Buffet

November 27

Time: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (clinic, followed by breakfast)

Cost: $49/per person, including clinic and breakfast buffet

Enjoy an hour clinic followed by University Park Country Club’s award-winning Sunday Mimosa Breakfast Buffet.

Saturday Morning Drop-In Clinics

December 3, 10, 17

Time: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Cost: $25/person, per clinic

Full swing and short game techniques covered.

Men’s & Ladies’ Afternoon Golf Clinics

Men: (Tuesdays) - November 29; December 6, 13

Women: (Wednesdays) – November 30, December 7, 14

Time: 1:30-2:30 p.m. (same time each day)

Cost: $25/person per clinic

Stroke and skill training varies each week.

Clinic and a Cocktail

December 16

Time: 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Cost: $40/person, per clinic

Happy golf meets happy hour including one-hour clinic with warm up, three-holf golf play with a pro then post-clinic cocktail. ‘Tis the season!
