The donation was made from the proceeds of a charity event held in March at the University Park Country Club.
Physically and cognitively challenged students who take golf lessons from the Adaptive Golf Association (AGA), gained a significant stroke of good fortune thanks to the University Park Country Club’s 9-Hole Ladies Golf Association’s recent $10,000 donation. The check, presented to the AGA on Thursday, May 4, 2017, will be used to purchase a Solorider, a single-rider car, specially designed for individuals with mobility impairments to access the golf course to learn, play and enhance their quality of life through weekly golf classes and playing opportunities.
Adaptive Golf is a non-profit, all-volunteer group who teach golf to all levels of ability. They currently hold weekly classes locally at Tatum Ridge Golf Club.
