Vaccine Registration Expands To Those 60 And Older In Manatee

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — With Gov. Ron DeSantis’ latest executive order expanding coronavirus vaccine eligibility to everyone 60 and older in Florida, Manatee County is allowing anyone in this age range to register for the county’s COVID-19 Vaccine Standby Pool using a new registration system, according to a county news release.

The new system can be accessed online here. As vaccine doses become available in the county, names will be randomly selected from the standby pool for appointments.

Those under 65 who are deemed medically vulnerable by a physician may now schedule appointments for vaccination at the Department of Health in Manatee County, as well as hospitals and pharmacies distributing the vaccine. Select locations of the following pharmacies are offering the vaccine: CVS, Publix, Walgreens, Walmart and Winn-Dixie.

Once your physician has filled out a COVID-19 Determination of Extreme Vulnerability form for you, contact the DOH at 941-242-6646 to schedule an appointment there. Appointments will be booked from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the DOH office at 410 Sixth Avenue East in Bradenton.
