BRADENTON, FL — A heavy dose of love is in the air around Bradenton this week as Valentine's Day arrives Friday for a rare three-day celebration of romance.

Celebrate Valentine's Day with a a romantic three-course, prix fixe menu at Eliza Ann's Coastal Kitchen from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. The three-course dinner includes: Choice of appetizer — Lobster Risotto, Cauliflower Vichyssoise, or Buffalo Milk Burrata; Choice of entrée — Tomato Voudavan & Basmati Rice ($38); Wood-Grilled Scottish Loch Duart Salmon ($42); Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass ($44); or Wood-Grilled 1855 6 ounce Filet Mignon “Creole Oscar” ($55); Choice of dessert — Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae, Artisan Cheese Plate, or Crème Brulee Cheesecake. Pet Supermarket One-Year Anniversary

If your special someone has four legs, take them to Pet Supermarket on Saturday for the store's one-year anniversary at its Clark Road location in Sarasota. All Sarasota-area animals and the people who love them are invited to attend the all-day celebration. In honor of Valentine’s Day, Pet Supermarket is partnering with Tender Hearts Charities and offering a pet kissing booth at the event. Bring your camera and pucker up with your pet. Additionally, during the first birthday celebration, attendees will enjoy complimentary refreshments, free samples, pet-themed raffles and giveaways. The store’s features $10 self-serve dog wash stations. The first 25 customers at the event will receive a free small bag of Performatrin pet food. Asolo Repertory Theatre

It's not exactly Valentine's Day but it might make a great gift for that special someone to see world-renowned playwright and Tony Award nominee Ken Ludwig (Murder on the Orient Express, Crazy for You, Lend Me a Tenor). He will be in residence at Asolo Repertory Theatre Feb. 19-21. On Wednesday, Feb. 19, following the performance of his adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, Ludwig will take part in a post-show talk back with Asolo Rep Dramaturg and Literary Manager James Monaghan. Actor James DeVita, who plays the role of Hercule Poirot, will also be part of the discussion. The talk back is open to all ticket holders for that performance; limited seating will be available to the public, based on availability. In addition, on Friday, Feb. 21, Ludwig will be the guest speaker at Asolo Rep’s Board of Directors Advance at the Embassy Suites in downtown Sarasota.

Boston Market

Bonefish Grill

Love is in the air, and Bonefish Grill is serving up delicious, romantic meal options that will really wow the loved ones and please the senses this Valentine’s Day. Available through Feb. 16, guests will adore the Filet & Lobster Thermidor featuring wood-fired filet mignon topped with sweet lobster chunks and lump crab in a creamy thermidor sauce. The dish pairs perfectly with the new La Fleur cocktail, a floral twist on a classic French 75 made with Reyka vodka, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur, freshly squeezed lemon and house-infused lavender simple syrup topped with bubbly and garnished with a sprig of real French lavender. End the meal with the lovely aroma of hot chocolate flowing from the delectable Chocolate Lava Cake, a rich chocolate cake with molten center, served warm, topped with fresh berries and house-made whipped cream. All seasonal specials will be available through mid-April.

The Perlman Music Program/Suncoast

Perlman Music Program alumni, the Kila Quartet, will conduct two performances around Valentine's Day. The first is takes place 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 at Temple Sinai, 4631 S. Lockwood Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34231. Doors open at 7 p.m. A Reception with the artists will follow Tickets cost $15. Patrons 18 and under are free. On Saturday, the quartet takes the stage again for a 7 p.m. performance at the Meadows Country Club, 3010 Longmeadow, Sarasota, FL 34235. Doors open at 6 p.m. There will be a cash bar. The performance begins at 7 p.m. A dessert reception with the artists follows the performance. Tickets cost $25 but patrons 18 and under will be free with limited seating. Tickets for both events may be purchased online at PerlmanSuncoast.org or by calling 941-955-4942. The musicians in this established string quartet are completing their undergraduate and master’s degrees at The Juilliard School in New York City under the tutelages of Itzhak Perlman, Roger Tapping and Joel Krosnick.
