Video: Monster Truck YouTuber Takes A Spin In The Gulf Of Mexico

ANNA MARIA ISLAND, FL — YouTube personality Chet Detwiler, known by fans as WhistlinDiesel, shared a video of himself taking his Monster Truck for a drive through the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday, the Bradenton Herald reported.

He reportedly visited Anna Maria Island with his truck, Monstermax, a converted Ford pickup truck, and drove into Sarasota Bay before entering the gulf. Various local authorities were called to the scene, including the U.S. Coast Guard, according to the video’s description on YouTube. Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputies, trucks and boats can also be identified in the video.

MCSO said Detwiler was cited for having an unregistered aquatic vessel.

Detwiler was visiting the area for an event at DeSoto Speedway, the Herald reported.
