What’s Open, Closed For The 4th Of July 2021 In Bradenton

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — In observance of Independence Day, many government facilities, departments and services will be closed in Bradenton and Manatee County.

Here’s a comprehensive list of how the Fourth of July will affect government offices and programs:

City of Bradenton Administrative Offices: Closed Monday

City of Bradenton Garbage & Recycling: Garbage and yard waste pick-up will be delayed during the week following the holiday. Recycling will not be collected July 5-9. Normal collection returns July 12.

Manatee County Government Offices: Closed Monday

County Clerk and Comptroller's Office: Closed Monday

Department of Health in Manatee County: Closed Monday

Manatee County Libraries: Closed Monday

Twelfth Judicial Circuit: Closed Monday

Manatee County Clerk of Court: Closed Monday

Manatee County Schools: Closed Monday

Manatee County Trash & Recycling: Trash will be collected one day later than scheduled during the week of July 5.

Manatee County Area Transit: In an effort to help drivers avoid heavy beach crowds over the Fourth of July weekend, MCAT will offer free rides onto and off of Anna Maria Island via Manatee Avenue Friday through Sunday. The special fare-free zone allows passengers to board the Beach ConneXion Shuttle to Manatee Public Beach Friday through Sunday at any MCAT stop between 75th Street West and Anna Maria Island.

The AMI Trolley and the Beach ConneXion Shuttle will operate on Independence Day but regular fixed route and Handy Bus services are suspended Sunday. Regular fixed route and Handy Bus services are available Saturday, but not Sunday. They will resume Monday.

G.T. Bray Recreation Center: Closed Monday, though the playgrounds, green spaces and skate park will be open.

Blackstone Skate Park: Open Monday

Manatee County Parks, Preserves, Beaches and Golf Courses: Open throughout the holiday weekend.

Downtown Central Library: The only county library branch typically open on Mondays will be closed.

Post Offices: Closed Monday. The U.S. Postal Service will also not deliver mail Monday.
