Woman's Purse Stolen While Collecting Cans For Money

Manatee County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who took a woman's purse on Wednesday night along the 300 block of 59th Avenue East in Bradenton.

The woman walked along 59th Avenue at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday collecting cans to cash in for recycling when a man approached her, pushed her from behind to the ground, causing her eyeglasses to break, according to the sheriff's office.

The man grabbed her black purse and fled from the scene, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall black male wearing a black hoddie and black pants, according to the sheriff's office.
