Cute Grandma Not Included With Home, Ad Says

The Florida woman's creative real estate photos have gone viral.

An 86-year-old Florida woman has taken real estate staging to the next level and her granddaughter has the viral photos to prove it.

The viral sensation all began when Yolie and Don Ball decided it was time to sell their Davenport home and move closer to family in Nashville, Newsday reported. Ball’s daughter Sandra offered to take photos of the home to help move the sale along. But, when Sandra attempted to take a living room shot, Yolie poked her head out of the bedroom door.

“I was going to pull back and Sandra said, ‘No, mom, stay right there,’” Ball was quoted in Newsday as saying.

A new twist on the real estate practice of “staging” a home to make it look warm and inviting to buyers was born. With the living room shot complete, Sandra instructed her mother to pose in different rooms and a series of photos featuring the smiling, white-haired grandma was created.

It seems Ball’s 15-year-old granddaughter Makenzie found the photos so amusing, she posted them to her Twitter account.

The Internet went wild.

As of Tuesday morning, Makenzie’s photo spread featuring her grandmother had been retweeted more than 26,000 times. The photos have been favorited by 48,000 people.

Ball’s home is now featured on Craigslist with the caveat that “Grandma (is) not included in the purchase,” the teen tweeted in a follow up.

As for Yolie, she seems to enjoy all the attention.

“We’re getting a kick out of it,” she was quoted by ABC as saying.
