Homebuyers in the Brandon area will soon have a new option.
The official groundbreaking for La Collina, a new community by WestBay, is set to take place Jan. 15. Once complete, the community will feature 288 new single-family homes. It is located off Lumsden and Lithia Pinecrest roads.
Homes in La Collina will have Mediterranean-inspired designs, a media release from WestBay stated. The community is set to open sometime this spring.

WestBay is a relatively new builder in the Tampa area. The company was founded by Roger Gatewood and Willy Nunn in 2009. It now builds homes in such developments as Lakeshore Ranch, Connerton, FishHawk Ranch and Terra Bella.
Homes range in size from 1,674 square feet to more than 6,600 square feet and are priced in the mid-$200,000 to more than $1 million range.
