The AACC will host their 9th Annual Arab Festival on Sunday, February 17, 2019, at a new location, Water Works Park. This is the Festival’s first time at this location. The event will start at 11:00 AM, and is free and open to the public all day until 7:00 PM. The Festival will include live music and dance performances, interactive visual arts, vendors with food, crafts and more!

For the first time, the AACC is teaming up with Art2Action, Inc. (a Tampa-based non-profit arts organization), to bring Hip Hop artists to the Arab Festival from around the U.S. National guest artists will include Muslim American Hip Hop dancer Amirah Sackett, rap artist Waheeb Nasan, and more. Art2Action will also support the participation of locally-based artists and performers, including visual artist Ameena Khan, who will facilitate interactive community painting, for children and adults, throughout the day.

The AACC and Art2Action wish to invite all communities in the Tampa Bay area to join in embracing, sharing and celebrating the richness of Arab American culture. Whether through the sounds of traditional or contemporary music, or the taste of delicious foods, Arab Festival Tampa will present an array of Middle Eastern cultural experiences, with Arab hospitality as legendary as Southern hospitality, to display the true positivity of Arab American culture. All are welcome to participate and enjoy the day together!
