Center presents the musical comedy "Nunsense"
MAS Community Theatre will produce the musical comedy Nunsense at the Carrollwood Cultural Center.

MAS Community Theatre will produce the musical comedy "Nunsense" on Thur., October 19 at 8 p.m., Fri., October 20 at 8 p.m., Sat., October 21 at 8 p.m. and Sun., October 22 at 2 p.m. Performances will be held in The Studio at Carrollwood Cultural Center, located at 13345 Casey Road in Tampa.
"Nunsense" begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters. In dire need of funds for the burials, the nuns decide to raise the money by producing a variety show. Here we meet Reverend Mother Regina (Mary Jo Hahn), a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert (Pavonne Scott), the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne (Erin Ruska); Sister Mary Leo (Ashley Ryan Lord), a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia (Jessica LaPollo), the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.
Book, music, and lyrics for "Nunsense" are written by Dan Goggin. Aaron Washington ("Damn Yankees" and "9 to 5 The Musical") will direct with musical direction by Mary Jo Hahn and choreography by Julie Schmoyer Nelson.
