Earl of Sandwich Opens New Restaurant Near Carrollwood Area

A grand opening event features free sandwiches during 'Earl's Hour' from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23

TAMPA, FL – Earl of Sandwich, a fast casual restaurant named after the man who invented the sandwich, has opened a new restaurant at 7229 N. Dale Mabry Highway near the Carrollwood area. A grand opening event featuring a ribbon-cutting, special guests, free sandwiches during “Earl’s Hour” from noon to 1 p.m. and $5 sandwiches the rest of the day will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 23.

Inspired by John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich who invented the sandwich in 1762, this marks the fifth location to open in the Tampa Bay area since 2014 and the first to serve North Tampa.

The new Earl of Sandwich joins the Earl of Sandwich stores at International Plaza, at the Royal Palms Shopping Center on 4th St. North in St. Petersburg, the Bayport Commons location at 11721 W. Hillsborough Ave. and the downtown Tampa restaurant at Element Apartments.
