67-Year-Old Woman Charged With 2nd-Degree Murder With Firearm
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested Debra Pais Patton in connection with the death of a Carrollwood woman.

CARROLLWOOD, FL — A 67-year-old woman is now facing additional charges in the death of a Carrollwood woman.
On Tuesday, Debra Pais Patton was charged with second-degree murder with a firearm in addition to an earlier charge of abuse of a dead human body.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested Debra Pais Patton after finding the body of a woman in her 60s inside her home in the 11000 block of Cypress Park Street Monday morning.

On Tuesday, Debra Pais Patton was charged with second-degree murder with a firearm in addition to an earlier charge of abuse of a dead human body.
On Sunday evening, deputies received a report from friends of the woman who said they hadn't seen or heard from her since May 24. Deputies interviewed Patton, a relative who lives in the home, and found reason to suspect foul play.
At around 9 a.m. on Monday, deputies executed a search warrant on the Carrollwood home and found the body of a woman.

On Monday night, the sheriff's office announced that Patton had been arrested and charged with abused of a dead human body, a second-degree felony. On Tuesday, the second-degree murder charge was added.
