Hillsborough Community College Announces Campus Reopenings
The phased reopening began with partial opening of some campus-based student services on July 20.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and direction from Gov. Ron Desantis’ reopening plan, Hillsborough Community College began a phased reopening plan that includes the limited reopening of campus-based student services starting on July 20.
Registration for fall is currently underway with classes being offered in a variety of in-person and online formats including live online, online and hybrid – a combination of in person and online.
Services available starting on July 20 include Admissions, Advising, Bursar, Counseling, Financial Aid, Test Centers, Services for Students with Disabilities, and Veteran Affairs. In order to minimize on-campus traffic, students are still encouraged to utilize our enhanced virtual services.

The safety of the college community is our highest priority. HCC has implemented numerous safety protocols in preparation for the return to campus. As recommended by the CDC, all faculty, staff and students will be required to wear a facial covering while on college property. Students are encouraged to bring their own, but the college will have a limited supply available for those who arrive at any HCC facility without one.

· Social distancing will be required, and our facilities will be prepared for such accommodations over the coming weeks.
· Classrooms and common areas at HCC facilities will be arranged to allow for physical distancing.
· The frequency and level of cleaning services to those areas will be increased in preparation for the return to campus.
· Signage will be installed to encourage personal hygiene best practices, designate hand sanitizing stations and help the movement of people through public campus spaces.
· Schedules will be staggered for on-campus community members as well.
