ICYMI: Hiring Begins Soon for 'The Infiltrator' Tampa Shoot

The Bryan Cranston movie is set to begin filming in the Bay area this April.

Tampa Bay area residents with Hollywood dreams may soon get their chance to rub elbows with the stars.

Hiring is expected to begin soon in the Tampa area for the production of “The Infiltrator,” according to the St. Petersburg Clearwater Film Commission.

“Interested in working on the Bryan Cranston film,” the commission passed along on itsFacebook page. “Production offices will be opening soon here in Tampa.”

The Pinellas commission was sharing the news courtesy of the Tampa Bay Film Commission.

While hiring has yet to begin, the commission noted that inquires, resumes and hiring questions can now be directed to infiltrator.movie@gmail.com.

The Tampa Tribune also reports that a call for extras of all ages is expected to come sometime in the near future.

“The Infiltrator” is a thriller based on author Robert Mazur’s autobiography, according toVariety. Mazur is a Tampa resident and past Drug Enforcement Agency officer who is credited with helping crackdown on the financial institution that laundered millions for Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.

Cranston of “Breaking Bad” fame has the lead role in the film, which is expected to film on location in Tampa starting in April.
