Left Turn Lane On Sheldon Road At Linebaugh To Close

Beginning Monday, June 4, motorists traveling south on Sheldon Road at Linebaugh Avenue will see lane closures and lane shifts.

CARROLLWOOD, FL -- Beginning Monday, June 4, motorists traveling south on Sheldon Road at Linebaugh Avenue will see lane closures and lane shifts due to pipeline installation.

The left turn lanes on southbound Sheldon at Linebaugh will be closed, and traffic will limited to the three remaining lanes: one will be a dedicated left turn lane, one will be a dedicated through-lane and one will be a shared through/right turn lane.

Motorists should expect delays associated with this activity as well as ongoing pipeline installation work on Linebaugh, just west of Sheldon Road.

The lane closures and traffic shift on southbound Sheldon are expected to remain in effect until Sept. 17.

During work in this intersection, traffic in the southbound, eastbound and westbound directions will be slowed to 35 mph. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when traveling through the area.

The pipeline installation is part of the first stage of a Hillsborough County Public Utilities project to retire and remove the aging River Oaks Wastewater Treatment Plant located at the corner of Sheldon Road and Waters Avenue. Additional information about the project is available here.
