Mari Caron Chocolats: Sweet New Business Brings Visions of Paris
The shop is located inside The Empress Tea Room.
Mary Caron sells sweets, but we're not talking run-of-the-mill chocolate bars.
Caron's shop — known as Mari Caron Chocolats for a French twist — carries artisan chocolates. The jewel-like treats are colorful and creative. Smokey bacon, sangria, creme brulee and lemongrass-coconut are some of the flavors available.
"It's endless what we can do with chocolate," says Caron.
The business, which opened Aug. 27, is located inside The Empress Tea Room. Both businesses have similar customers.
"We recognized through (Caron's) verbage and also her product that it was a superior line, and that's somebody we wanted to line ourselves up with," Tea Room ownership says.
