Shots Fired At Northdale Home; Deputies Take Man Into Custody
A man is in custody following a shooting that took place in the 15000 block of Countrybrook Street in Northdale Sunday afternoon.
NORTHDALE, FL — A man is in custody following a shooting that took place in the 15000 block of Countrybrook Street in Northdale Sunday afternoon.
Just before 1 p.m., the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Countrybrook Street to conduct a welfare check on a juvenile. Upon arrival, deputies heard gunshots. A deputy's vehicle was later struck by gunfire, but no deputies were injured during the incident. Deputies did not return fire.
When deputies could not make contact with the juvenile or the shooter, they requested SWAT and Crisis Negotiation teams. However, the request was canceled when deputies were able to get in contact with the juvenile and the shooter. The shooter was taken into custody. The juvenile did not suffer any injuries.

The Bomb Disposal Team was also activated after the shooter hinted about suspicious devices inside the home. BDT found no devices.
