Tampa's Only Macy's Backstage Now Open At Westfield Citrus Park

CITRUS PARK, FL -- Just in time for the holiday shopping season, the only Macy's Backstage in Tampa is now open at Westfield Citrus Park, 7801 Citrus Park Town Center.

Macy’s Backstage opened its doors in August, offering style-savvy bargain hunters the brands Macy's is known for at discounted prices.

The outlet store carries apparel and accessory brands not currently available at full-line Macy’s, and each Backstage location is tailored to each community it serves, said Michelle Israel, Macy’s senior vice president of off price. She said shoppers can expect great savings on apparel for men, women and children, as well as deals on an assortment of housewares, home textiles and decor, cosmetics, hair and nail care, gifts, jewelry, shoes, designer handbags, accessories, and active wear.

“Our customers are thrilled about the Macy’s Backstage shopping experience,” said Israel. “Macy’s Backstage brings great deals, the thrill of the hunt and fun into our existing Macy’s locations. The focus on value and newness guarantees that with each visit, shoppers will find a compelling assortment of recognizable brands, trends and deals."

Macy's started its Backstage stores in 2015, initially opening seven free-standing stores in the Northeast and San Antonio, Texas. Since then, Macy's has opened 63 more Backstage stores within existing Macy's department stores. The company anticipates have 100 Macy's Backstage stores open by the end of the year.

The outlet stores are independent from the Macy's department stores. Each Macy's Backstage has its own buying team that scours the world for the best prices the outlet stores can offer up to 80 percent off the price of items in traditional departments stores.

At Westfield Citrus Park, Macy's Backstage occupies 13,300 square feet on the second floor inside the existing 130,000-square-foot Macy's.

The Citrus Park store is open Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. , Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.
