NORTHDALE, FL — On a day intended to honor veterans, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and his wife received the VIP treatment from Tampa Bay Buccaneers players and UnitedHealthcare employees.
Starting Monday, UnitedHealthcare employees teamed up with former Tampa Bay Bucs wide receiver Vincent Jackson to spruce up the Northdale home of 73-year-old Ed Wickliffe and his wife, Molly, as part of the fourth annual Do Good Week Nov. 11-17.
Jackson, the son of two military parents, is the founder of Jackson in Action 82, a veterans-focused nonprofit organization. He recruited former teammates for the collaborative project with UnitedHealthcare's Operation Code Vet.
