Yogurtology Offers Sweet Fundraisers for Local Groups

Schools, Scouts and others can sign up for "spirit nights."

Organizations in need of extra cash may want to head to their local Yogurtology to find out more about a sweet promotion the Tampa-based chain has available.

Through its “Cash Cow Fundraiser,” the eight Tampa Bay area stores enable groups to raise money during spirit nights. On these nights, organizations earn 20 percent of the proceeds from sales they bring in.

While the program was launched in 2010, Yogurtology is putting on an extra push right now to make sure schools, Scouting organizations, sports teams, school bands and others know about the opportunity.

“Our company’s main goal is to give back to the community, and especially the local schools,” Jaclyn Mendelsohn, vice president of Yogurtology, was quoted in a media release as saying. “The ‘Cash Cow Fundraiser’ program has allowed us to raise more than $55,000 for different schools and organizations since 2010. So, we hope that these organizations continue to take advantage of our stores for their own long-term benefit.”

Yogurtology has locations in Brandon, Carrollwood, Citrus Park, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota.
