37-Year-Old Man Dies Following Medical Emergency In Dunedin

DUNEDIN, FL — A 37-year-old Palm Harbor man has died following a medical emergency Saturday at 2:38 p.m. in the Publix parking lot at U.S. 19 and Curlew Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Justin David Santoro was driving a Lexus in the parking lot at an idle speed when he suffered a medical emergency. The car ran over a raised curb and onto the sidewalk. It then collided with a handicapped parking sign and a palm tree.

Santoro was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital where he died.
