Applicants Sought For Educational Facilities Authority Position
The Pinellas County authority issues bonds to make loans for educational facilities.
CLEARWATER, FL – Pinellas County is looking to fill a position on a board that helps finance educational facilities.
The county currently is accepting applications for the vacancy on the Pinellas County Educational Facilities Authority. The authority was created to assist fully accredited institutions of higher education and other educational providers with projects by providing an additional means to finance facilities and structures.
The Educational Facilities Authority issues bonds in order to make loans for the costs of project, with the institution receiving the loan responsible for repayment and for the cost of administration. Bond issues for educational facility financing are projects approved by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners.

The county commission appoints a total of five members to the authority. Meetings are scheduled monthly and held at St. Petersburg College – Epi Center, Room 1-200 at 13805 58th St. N. in Clearwater.
Applications must be submitted no later than the close of business on Monday, Sept. 11. The Board of County Commissioners will review all applications and make their selection at an upcoming meeting.
