City To Begin Monitoring Seminole Boat Ramp For Crowds

CLEARWATER, FL — Beginning this weekend, the lot at the Seminole Street boat ramp will be monitored by city employees and patrolled by the Clearwater Police Department to avoid issues caused during peak periods.

Due to increased boat launches and the temporary closure of the Dunedin boat ramp, Clearwater has experienced increased traffic at the Seminole Street boat ramp.

When the parking lot reaches capacity and vehicles and trailers are parked illegally, it creates launching and docking problems and other safety issues.

When trailer parking is full, the lot will be closed temporarily and no launching will be permitted. Vehicles will not be allowed to line up along Seminole Street waiting for spaces to open up.
