Clearwater Church Burglary Suspect Arrested in St. Petersburg
Scott Edward Regan, 44, was arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft at Grace Lutheran Church and burglary at Skycrest United Methodist Church, according to St. Petersburg Police.

A man suspected of burgarlizing two Clearwater churches was arrested by St. Petersburg Police Thursday.
Scott Edward Regan, 44, was arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft at Grace Lutheran Church and burglary at Skycrest United Methodist Church, according to police.
A church van also was stolen during the Grace Lutheran Church incident after the keys were obtained in the break in. It was recovered a short time later near Crest Lake Park.

Friendship United Methodist and Light of Christ Catholic churches also were broken into and undisclosed amounts of money were stolen during incidents Feb. 22-25.
Regan, who is homeless, also was charged with resisting an officer with violence, resisting arrest with violence, grand theft and burglary at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church 600 49th St N that occurred Feb. 26.

He is in jail awaiting trial on $75,000 bond.
