CLEARWATER, FL -- The city of Clearwater will celebrate Dia del Nino -- Children's Day -- on Saturday, April 27 in Clearwater's Downtown Gateway.

The free festival taking place on Cleveland Street between Lincoln Avenue and Betty Lane in downtown Clearwater will feature children’s amusement rides, art activities, music, dance groups, raffles to win prizes, bicycle giveaways for children, food vendors and more.

For a number of years, the city of Clearwater has helped spearhead Children’s Day to celebrate the city’s children. All the free activities at the event are geared toward children and families, including the bounce house, bungee-jumping trampoline, face painting, balloon artist, caricature artist, tennis demonstrations, Clearwater Fire & Rescue firefighters and a fire truck and the Nomad Art Bus, which helps unleash children’s inner creativity by allowing them to paint the exterior of an entire van.

“It’s an awesome opportunity to bring the greater Clearwater community together and celebrate one of our treasures – the children,” said Gabe Parra, the city’s community development manager.

The event also offers free parking at Cleveland Street and Lincoln Avenue.
