Phillies' Equipment Truck Arrives Sunday

It's almost time for the Spring Training kickoff at Clearwater's Bright House Field.

CLEARWATER, FL – Clearwater area baseball fans eager for Spring Training to get under way are likely to cheer for an arrival expected in town this weekend.

The city of Clearwater has it on good authority that the Philadelphia Phillies’ equipment truck should pull into Bright House Field around 8 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 14. The truck contains thousands of items special delivered from Citizens Bank Park that will be used during this year’s Spring Training action.

Mayor George Cretekos is reportedly so excited, he plans to be on hand to greet the truck bright and early Sunday.

“The arrival is a sign that those who love baseball will soon be flocking to the area to watch the Phillies play ball,” the city said in an email to media.

Bright House Field, the Phillies’ Spring Training Home, is located at 601 Old Coachman Road. The team is scheduled for its first pitchers and catchers workout on Feb. 18 and its first full squad workout Feb. 23.
